Privacy through Sound Isolation brought to Luxurious Travel Destination
The Lake House on Canandaigua offers a new destination for travellers seeking an active wellness retreat in Upstate New York, the lake has the 2nd highest lakeside property evaluations in the US after Lake Tahoe. The Sheraton Canandaigua Inn was a “state of the art” facility when it first opened its doors in 1970, but it is now ready for an upgrade and makeover. It will be the first of its kind in the area, a family owned and operated hotel with world-class design.
The Lake House will be the ideal destination for gatherings and important events, hosting small to large weddings and conferences. Suitable for all four seasons, the venue will offer a breath-taking view of the lake and allow for indoor and outdoor festivities.
The new development will consist of the main hotel, a creek-side hotel, an event barn, casual and fine dining options, a pool and hot tub, and a spa and wellness centre. Modern construction and efficiency will include the use of a geothermal energy system, which is the highest standard of sustainability for heating and cooling, to reduce its ecological impact.
The project development team includes Studio Tack, a New York City based design and development group, and local firms; SWBR, Passero Associates Engineering, Le Chase Construction and HB Cornerstone.
To ensure a peaceful and relaxing stay for all guests, the developers sought to find an effective soundproofing solution to prevent noise and vibration transfer between the residences, hotel rooms, and conference venue that holds up to 500 guests. Resilmount was selected to provide sound isolation clips throughout this project. The A237R was chosen as the perfect solution for the Lake House on Canandaigua as it provides sound isolation between the furring channel and the ceiling structure, to create a perfectly isolated assembly from room to room.
“The Inn on the Lake isn’t undergoing renovations, but a transformation into a boutique inn that has the potential to attract international visitors,” says Managing Director Chris Burns, “We knew we had an opportunity with this project to fully integrate all of what’s special about Canandaigua Lake and the Finger Lakes region into a superior guest experience, and that’s exactly what we’re doing.”
