Beyond the visible facade of every great American city and town, sit the metal frames and drywall that provide the quiet spaces for residents to enjoy. Since establishing in the US in 2006, Studco Building Systems has provided the essential framework for architectural excellence across the country.
As Studco marks two decades of operation in America, we are proud to celebrate the journey that transformed a family business into a global leader in the steel construction industry. With a deep focus on our core value of continuous innovation, Studco has produced market solutions to construction challenges, as evident by Resilmount Sound Isolation clips and EZ Concept Architectural Finishing Systems.
A Vision Born in 1986
The Studco story began in Melbourne, Australia, 40 years ago with our founder, Gordon Stevens. Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit and a relentless focus on solving job site challenges, Gordon didn’t just want to launch another cold formed steel company; he wanted to revolutionize the way the industry approached structural engineering.
In those early days, Gordon identified a gap in the market for high performance acoustic solutions. While the competition was simply selling steel, Studco was helping its customers deliver results. That solution driven mindset became the bedrock of Studco, fuelling the development of game changing innovations like EzyJamb Flush Finish door frames, Resilmount Sound Isolation clips and the Vortex High Performance Framing System.
In 2006, Studco entered the US, bringing the same vision to the American market. Studco don’t just supply metal building materials, they provide innovative solutions that ensures every build is a success.
